Kojo Oppong Nkrumah encourages POJOSS students to strive for global excellence

The Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi and an old student of Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary, POJOSS, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has urged students of the school not to allow inadequate facilities to limit their aspirations.

He encouraged them to remain determined, committed to their studies and strive for excellence, stressing that resilience and hard work are essential to achieving success despite the challenges they may face.

"Bury your head in the work, regardless of the circumstances, and strive for excellence, not just in Ghana, but for the highest standards all over the world. Things have never been and will never be perfect wherever you will be. But you have an opportunity to look within and decide that you will excel no matter what," he said.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah noted that POJOSS offers students a unique opportunity to forge lifelong friendships and valuable professional networks. He encouraged them to nurture these relationships, emphasizing that the connections they build in school can play an important role in their future careers and personal growth.

Catholic Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum, urged students of POJOSS to uphold discipline in all aspects of their lives, stressing that academic excellence alone is not enough without good character. 

He encouraged them to develop positive attitudes, respect authority and uphold the values of the institution, noting that discipline remains a key ingredient for success.
