GBC SUNRISE FM SPORTS JOURNALIST ENSTOOLED AS THE KASENA NANKANA CHIEF OF MANGOASE

A Sports Journalist of GBC Sunrise FM in Koforidua, John Iddrisu Amintey, has been enskinned as the new Kasenna Nankana Chief of Mangoase in the Akuapem North Municipality of the Eastern Region.  

He succeeded his late father Sariki Adams Amintey, who ruled for 41 years and died at the age of 102. He comes with the stool name Sariki Iddrisu Amintey.

The coronation of Sariki Iddrisu Amintey coincided with the 40-day celebration known in the Islamic religion as “adua” of his late father Sariki Adams Amintey. Quranic recitation and thanksgiving service were offered to commemorate, pray, and seek blessings for the deceased.

In an interview with GBC News, the Zamramma Chief of Deduakrom in Nsawam, Sariki Jibril Gariba, noted that Sariki Idris Amintey possesses the necessary qualities to be enskinned as a chief, which include his patience, humility, obedience, intelligence, and hard work, which make him suitable to lead the Grusi and the Kasena Nankana people in the Mangoase enclave.

He used the opportunity to advise the youth to lead an exemplary life and pay heed to the advice of the elders to become responsible future leaders.

The newly enskinned Kasena Nankana Chief of Mangoase, Sariki Iddrisu Amintey, urged the people to rally their support behind him and remain united and committed, as there is always development in unity. He urged the youth to desist from negative vices that will jeopardize their future.

One of the eldest siblings of the newly enskinned Chief, Chief Inspector of the Ghana Police Service, Samuel Amintey, pledged their commitment and support for their brother to succeed as their late father.
