EASTERN REGION TO LAUNCH EXPO TO PROMOTE TRADE, TOURISM AND INVESTMENT

The Eastern Regional Development Planning Officer, Michael Agyemang, has announced that the Eastern Region is set to launch the Eastern Expo, an initiative of the Eastern Regional Minister aimed at promoting trade, tourism and investment opportunities in the region.

Speaking with GBC Sunrise FM, Mr. Agyemang said the programme themed, “Unlocking Opportunities for Trade, Tourism and Investment,” will be launched tomorrow 28th July, 2026, at the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council.

He noted that the maiden edition of the Expo is scheduled for September 26, 2026. He said the initiative will showcase the region's economic potential and attract investors, tourists and business partners.

He therefore encouraged businesses and small-scale enterprises to register and participate in the event.

Mr. Agyemang explained that the Expo will provide a platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses to showcase their products and services, attract investment, create jobs, and explore new market opportunities through exhibitions, business engagements, and investment discussions.

He further called on private organisations, corporate bodies and individuals to support the initiative through partnerships and investments. According to him, the success of the programme will depend on the collective efforts of stakeholders committed to promoting the socio-economic development of the Eastern Region.
