Ano Palace in Koforidua near Jackson park allegedly demolished by CEO of Capital View Hotel.

The demolition of the Anoh Palace also referred to as Temple Palace near Jackson Park in Koforidua has triggered massive outrage and a tense standoff between the Anoh family and Chief Executive Officer of Capital View Hotel, Nana Dwomo Brobbey.

The escalation centers around a fierce confrontation where angry residents and local traditional leaders including the Anohema, Yaa Kwabua Asantewaa have descended upon the owner of Capital View Hotel, known locally as "Peace". 

The historic palace structure situated right near the newly redeveloped Jackson Park was suddenly leveled, sparking immediate shock and anger among the indigenous community. 

Community members and traditional stakeholders view the destruction of the palace as a direct affront to their local heritage. 

This has led to open confrontation, with residents demanding immediate accountability from the developer believed to be behind the demolition. 

However, the targeting and leveling of a traditional palace site have escalated a standard zoning issue into a highly volatile cultural and legal battleground. 

Police are investigating the matter.
