AKUAPEM ZANGO CHIEFS ASSOCIATION INAUGURATED.

The Akuapem Zango Chiefs Association has been inaugurated at Nsawam in the Eastern Region to build a united and progressive Zango community within Akuapem.   

According to the Spokesperson for the Association, Jibril Gariba who doubles as the Zamarama Chief of Aduakrom said the association will spearhead initiatives to support education, social, and economic activities that will uplift the living standards of the Zango communities. 

He said they will also foster youth and women empowerment within the Zango communities and urged all members in the Zango communities within Akuapem to offer the needed support to the association's leadership to help achieve their vision. 

The Acting President of the Association, Sarki Aminu Adamu Katakyi, commended all the  members who contributed to the successful formation of the association. He urged all the executives to play their roles actively to help sustain the association. 

He further admonished them to bury their political differences and come out with ideas that will move the association forward. Sarki Katakyi extended his advice to the Zango youth in the area to refrain from activities that will jeopardize their future. 

Membership of the association is open to all recognized Zango Chiefs, Tribal Chiefs and Muslim Leaders within the Akuapem enclave.
